PS5 (or PlayStation 5) is the next-generation PlayStation that will replace PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro. The launch date of ps5 in India will be in Holiday 2020 may be in October or November in late 2020. As the exact launch date of PS5 in India is not declared by Sony yet. But the rumours of it are on height. Sony company who always has remained pretty tight about its next-generation devices. It has recently revealed the first look of PS5 in its PS5 event.
Since then, Sony has been feeding us tidbits such as an official PS5 Launch Date in India with window, logo, name, specs and a few key details about features. boasting serious specs including 8-core processors that allow for ray tracing and zippy SSDs that all but eliminate load times including its blazing fast SSD, mega-powerful RDNA-based graphics card and immersive 3D audio engine. Here’s everything we know so far about the PS5, including its release date, confirmed specs, expected games and more.
The PS5 is has become a mystery than before, as there are many rumours going on PS5, thanks to a live stream from Sony today which was held on 18 March. Mark Cerny, a leading systems architect of Sony, hosted a talk on 18 march to announced some salient points of the PS5’s hardware. The talk was not straightforward reveal but it was rather technical. But Mark Cerny has revealed some solid information about how the PS5 might perform, and about the hardware.
During his talk in the event, Mark Cerny told three main pillars of the PS5’s development:
- “Listening to developers”
- “Balancing evolution and revolution”
- “Finding new dreams”
They speak on these three categories of PS5’s SSD configuration, backward compatibility, and 3D audio capabilities. Even they told about the system’s CPU, GPU, and RAM structure. Their information was more technical and would be useful to developers than everyday consumers.
“Listening to developers”
Mark Cerny explains the PS5 will be able to produce better graphics than the PS4. He also added that PS5 can load about 1 GB of data in 7 seconds. He tells that they have taken the advantage of solid-state drives (SSDs), which was costly when the PS4 first came out. But PS5 will have state drives (SSDs) and the loading speed of PS5 will be 5.5 GB/s which means it is almost 10 times faster than the PS4 and PS5 hard drive will be 825 GB.
“Balancing evolution and revolution”
Cerny tell that the “revolution” was one of the most important and technical parts. They have made the evolution in PS5’s custom RDNA2 AMD GPU, and the physical construction of the PS5’s CPU. The control unit of PS5 is 62% larger than the PS4’s which means PS5’s CPU will be able to route more processes, more efficiently. He also included that GPU will also make use of both ray tracing and primitive shaders, which will affect both power consumption and heat management.PS5 will try to standardize power consumption for each game and every resource as per the need, so as to prevent overheating, and excessive fan noise. Not only that PS4 games will be compatible with the Play Station 5 as they have tested the top 100 PS4 games with PS5 and on the launch of PS5 most of those 100 games will be playable.
“Finding new dreams”
Cerny told that their team is working on PS5 to deliver 3D audio, regardless of platform: TV speakers, headset or soundbar. The key to 3D audio lies in Head-Related Transfer Function or HRTF. But maybe It would not be available at the launch of PS5 but maybe in the next few years it will be there and this HRTF profile will be evolving with PS5 every time.
PS5 Launch Date in India
As far a the launch date is concerned everybody is looking for it but it is sure that’s Sony won’t be launching the PS5 at GDC 2020. The Japanese company Sony has pulled canceled his 16th-20th March conference because of the Coronavirus concerns, along with Oculus and Facebook.
Whenever it comes to Sony, they always aim to go big and go big quickly. Before Coronavirus, the plan was to reach sales of PS5 to six million units by March 2021. Maybe corona have affected the sony conference, maybe Sony plan to launch PS5 in India will have shifted but the figures of sales would not be affected. Sony can shift the launch dates of PS5 but they will surely not compromised with the sales reach.
Price of PS 5 in India
The PS5 price might not be affordable like PS4 $399 price tag. In his quarterly forecast reported Ace Research Institute analyst and Hideki Yasuda predicts that the Price of PS5 system will launch for $499, which can be $100 more than what we have in PS4 and PS4 Pro or maybe more than that also. This prediction comes from the February 2020 report from Bloomberg, which claims that the PS5 will be more costly than the PS4 on its launch because of its expensive components such as DRAM and flash memory. In an earnings call to the company’s investors, Sony’s CFO Hiroki Totoki said that the price of the PS5 has yet to be decided since it’s trying to balance affordability and profitability both of them at the same time. But in the recent Leaks have suggested that the price of PS5 in India will be around Rs 37735.68. The rumours are there of the price of PS5 but the sony will soon be reaving the price of PS5 in India.

Detail specification of PS5 in India
The PS5 will be powered by a CPU based on AMD’s third-generation, eight-core Ryzen processor, as well as it has custom GPU based on the AMD Radeon Navi line. That graphics card of PS5 will allow it to deliver ray tracing, which is an ultra-realistic lighting technology that was first made popular by Nvidia’s RTX cards. As per the report of TFT Central, the PS5 launching in India can even support Nvidia G-Sync, as Nvidia opening up the technology to AMD GPUs.Mark Cerny also said that the PS4 produces 10.3 teraflops of processing power, lower than the Xbox Series X specs of 12 teraflops that means there are many other measurements that determine graphical quality, and that the Play station 5 will be working at near maximum capacity at all times. Hopefully, this means there won’t be too much of a performance gap between the two consoles after all.
The system’s CPU of Ps5 will also allow for 3D audio, which will be more immersive than PS4 whether you’re playing with headphones or through your TV speakers the audio will be much more clear than PS4. The PS5 In India will come with massive power will also allow the resolutions up to 8K which in PS4 we have on 4K. The PlayStation 5 will also feature a 4K Blu-ray player for physical discs.PS5 will come with a feature of speedy SSD to reduce the loading time and makes the games faster. SSD can load 2GB of files in 0.27 seconds.
